About Volvo Village of Norwell
While recent headlines in the automotive industry have highlighted dealership closings, one automotive group is expanding. The Village Automotive Group has acquired South Shore Volvo in Norwell. The dealership will be called Volvo Village of Norwell and is the Group's second Volvo dealership, joining Boston Volvo Village of Allston/Brighton.
“We have had a lot of success with the Volvo brand, and we are excited to bring the level of service that our dealerships provide as well as our enthusiasm for the Volvo brand to the South Shore community” said Village Automotive Group President Ray Ciccolo.
Ciccolo’s Boston Volvo Village is the largest and oldest Volvo dealership in New England, having recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. The dealership was named top in New England Volvo sales for 2008 by Volvo Cars of North America. Ciccolo attributes the success and longevity with the Volvo brand to the family atmosphere that his dealerships create and credits the talented staff he employs and their dedication to providing outstanding customer service.

In providing positive customer experiences we have been able to expand our dealership group while maintaining our core values that keep clients coming back to our stores and referring family and friends,” said Ray Ciccolo.
The purchase of Volvo Village of Norwell brings the total number of Village Automotive Group dealerships to nine: Cadillac Village of Norwood, Saab of Norwood, Hummer Village of Norwood, Charles River Saab in Watertown, Honda Village in Newton Corner, Hyundai Village in Danvers, and Nissan Village in North Attleboro.
Volvo Village of Norwell is the only factory authorized Volvo service and parts dealership on the South Shore. The Village Automotive Group will bring a wealth of talented Volvo enthusiasts including skilled technicians and sales staff to the dealership. As part of the expansion Volvo Village of Norwell will be recruiting new and maintaining existing employees.
“We are looking for skilled professionals and craftsman who are dedicated to treating the customer right. Customer satisfaction is our top priority in recruiting new talent,” said Cohasset resident and Volvo Village General Manager Dan Leahy. As a South Shore native, Leahy also notes that a significant percentage of their existing customer base from Boston Volvo are residents of the South Shore, and that the Norwell location will be convenient for customers to service and purchase their vehicles.
